Boot Hill Distillery

Spirits are again flowing atop Boot Hill, where outlaws were once laid to rest. In the spring of 1872, George M. Hoover strapped a load of whiskey barrels to the back of his wagon and counted out exactly five miles to the edge of Fort Dodge’s reservation.

There, Hoover erected a tent around two posts of sod, on which he laid a foot-wide board to serve as a bar. And so, Dodge City, Kansas was born from a barrel. Boot Hill Distillery continues the legend of Dodge City with an obsessive dedication to handcrafted spirits, all locally sourced, milled, distilled, and bottled from our very own farms.
