Bounty Bird Contest Winner

Dodge City Convention and Visitors Bureau is pleased to announce winners from the Bounty Bird hunting contest.

Each hunter who bagged a bird with a Bounty Bird leg tag were to bring their tag to one of the approved locations to register the band and receive a Bounty Bird gift bag and $25 free play courtesy of Boot Hill Casino & Resort.  Approved locations/sponsors included the Dodge City Visitors Center, Comfort Suites, Stay Suites of America, Best Western North Edge Inn, Best Western County Inn Suites, and the Dodge City Area Chamber of Commerce Office.  At the end of the contest, a drawing of all the registered bands was held and a grand prize winner and other prize winners were chosen.

More than 40 of the 250 birds that were released were ‘bagged’ and the bands turned in for the drawings.   Of those turned in, there was participation from 8 states and 23 cities.   We feel that’s a good participation for the program.  In addition, the promotion was picked up by numerous news outlets which increased awareness of hunting in southwest Kansas.

Our Grand Prize winner was
Walter “Seth” Clark from Tonganoxie, Kansas.  His prize package included.
