  Kansas Heritage Center

The Kansas Heritage Center is a nonprofit social studies resource center operated through Unified School District 443 in Dodge City, Kansas.  The emphasis is history — especially the history of Kansas, the Great Plains and the Old West. A research library of books, microfilm, and vertical file materials is maintained at the Center.

Books, posters, stickers, maps, bookmarks, and other products are published and sold. The catalog includes materials from other sources too. Kansas books and other Sunflower State items (teaching materials and gifts) are the specialty, but some Oklahoma books and items related to the Sooner State are also offered.

Books and items relating to the Santa Fe Trail, Old West, pioneer life, American Indians, and women and children of the prairie are also available.

The facility is open Monday - Friday from 8:00 to 5:00.  You can order from their catalog or website.
