[ARCHIVED] Industry Recognizes Excellence in Kansas Tourism Marketing

TIAK

The Travel Industry Association of Kansas (TIAK) announced last week the winners of this year’s Marketing Awards during the 2022 Kansas Tourism Conference in Wichita. Dodge City was among the winners announced during the Kansas Tourism Dinner and Marketing Awards Banquet.

The TIAK Marketing Awards are chosen annually to recognize excellence in destination marketing initiatives across the state. They are divided into six categories and broken out by the organization’s marketing budget: Large (over $100,000), Medium ($20,000 – $100,000), and Small ($19,999 and under). The Dodge City Visitors Guide (in-house) was selected as the winner for the medium budget category.

“We are so excited to have won this award,” said Dodge City Convention and Visitors Bureau Director Megan Welsh. “It was important to us that our new visitors guide not only tell the story of our community in a fun and engaging way but that the visuals created a feeling in the reader. Based on the feedback from the review committee, we more than achieved that goal.”

TIAK is a statewide membership organization whose mission is to speak with one voice for the travel and tourism industry in Kansas by supporting all components of the travel development field. Its goals are to provide a forum for interaction among all industry sectors, develop programs that positively reflect the impact of tourism on the state and local economies, and influence government decisions.
